This week I found out that Tesla, the car company, has associated with Apple to create a new app. The app was made for car controlling and to see that car's status through the driver's phone.

In one of my warm ups I learned something very interesting. It was about how military drivers receive millions of dollars in just 6 months. I was curious because I wanted to know why they were making so much all of a sudden. I agree that they deserve a lot of money because of their military background but why do they receive so much. That question was not answered in the article. Maybe the soldiers didn't receive a lot of money before so the government wanted to repay them.

This week I learned a lot about our technology and how it has shaped our society for several years. An example would be photo-shopping. Photoshop has been around for about 25 years and since then, it has helped us create art as well as illusions. Technology has grown into various forms from cellphones to self-parking cars. It was helped us grow and learn from our environment.

This week, in computer business, I learned of a new malware among Android phones. The malware makes the user believe that their phone has shut off. Instead, the phone actually remains on and then  precedes to take photos, send messages, and make phone calls. Companies have suggested that users of Android phones remove the battery when not using their phone to ensure they do not become victims to this malware.

This week I read an article about military veterans becoming drivers for Uber. This allows them to have a job after serving for their country and this also gives them money for their lives. Many veterans have no job opportunity after serving in the military and since Uber has come up with this new campaign called the UberMILITARY it gives veterans a reason to live their life for themselves after living their lives saving others.

Oculus Rift

I learned that many companies are trying to create apps for VR headsets or they are trying to create their own. The VR headset concept has blown up recently and everyone is rushing to create the best one. I don't think that the VR Headset is a very useful technology and it should not really be the center of attention.

This week i learned how despite someone thinking that theyve turned off their phone there can be a possibility that your phone can still be on.. The best way to avoid situations were you think that your phone is off the best way to actually have it off is to take out the battery. There are many possibilities were hackers can record, send texts, and take pictures despite your phone being off

Blog of the week

This week in computer business we did the usual which was warm ups in the beginning of class and the main activity throughout the rest of the class. One thing that I learned was how to make my character move in circles on scratch.mit which I thought was pretty cool. This week was cool and I am looking forward to next week.

week 3

This week I learned that Apple is investing into a solar farm for one of their nearby locations in Cupertino. I think it's a good addition to Apple and their services.

How People Photoshopped Before Photoshop

Before Photoshop had been invented, people would make crazy images that were obviously edited and out of proportion. People would put two separate negatives together to create a new effect. One of the weird, crazy edits on a photo is an image of a mans body, and instead of only having one head, the man has two heads. As soon as the science of photo taking had began, different artists would manipulate images to create one of their own. One of the controversial topics that were brought up because of photo editing was the ability to edit political articles or for the purpose of propaganda and advertising fake news and images. Creating these photos though required artistic skills so not everyone was able to have the art to realistically portray a fake image.

Something I learned that was very interesting this week during computer business was an article I found very interesting. The article was about military service members, veterans, and military spouses making about $18 million within 6 months. A company known as Uber has a very popular car service and they hire the military community to drive. The project is known as UberMILITARY and Uber has spent billions of dollars on this project. Many of these military employees get paid $18 million by just driving cars for the company. It interests me, because this job is so simple yet it is a very high paying job.

what was very interesting this week in my computer class was an article I read about was  back to the future case. what was very interesting about it is that its shaped at the car in the movie and has hidden slots that you can access to lower your volume and turn on the camera . its priced at $50 and has an led light that u can turn on and is dope. that's what ive learn this week was how to make your iphone look like a beast . also 2015 nike will also be launching the back to the future shoes as well as the case .

This week i learned that  American and British spies hacked into the world's largest SIM card manufacturer, compromising the privacy of mobile devices across the world, according to a report that cites newly revealed documents leaked by NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden. The documents are dated from 2010.The hack gave the NSA and British Government Communications Headquarters the "potential to secretly monitor a large portion of the world’s cellular communications, including both voice and data," according to The Intercept. This interested me greatly because of the amount of knowledge thatpeople have in order to hack into diffrent types of things . Interest me how one could be capable of such a difficult task

Weekly Blog Post-Ramon J.

This week I read about drones possibly coming into the entertainment department.  The drones now have almost completely mastered every field from spying to brute force with weaponry.  Now that drones are in most fields there might be a negative impact such as the loss of jobs or the increasing amount of hacking which would prevent control of the drones.

This Week-Self Driving Cars

This week I read an interesting article about self-drivings cars. It is predicted that the number of cars needed in an average American household would significantly drop if self driving cars would be mobilized in American homes. I think this is interesting because I know many homes that have more cars than people.

This week 2/20/15

This week I learned that Apple has a design team to build a car. Although it could be just a rumour that has escalated since previous years. I also learned that military veterans that work for uber are able to take care of their families without worrying about financial problems.

this week 2-20-15

this week we surprisingly didn't do any Microsoft word quiz's. So my grade will not be falling of a cliff. i actually learned how to use text in scratch, which is always good. i also read an article on galaxies merging. on typing web we learned to bust a capital in every way possible.

week 4

http://mashable.com/2015/01/18/temporary-tattoo-blood-sugar/

For what now seems to be many years, scientists and doctors have tried to come up with a less "painful" way of checking on your health. A year ago Google announced that it was developing contact lenses that measure glucose levels in its user's tears. But now, Nano engineers may have found an even easier way for diabetes patients to monitor their vital levels: with temporary tattoos! A student at the University of California in San Diego has come up with a flexible mild electrical current to measure glucose levels in a person's body with a simple application. Bandodkar states the tattoo will eventually have "Bluetooth capabilities to send this information directly to the patient's doctor in real-time or store data in the cloud."
This article caught my intention because inventions such as this "Tattoo" will be able to be used to monitor levels of other blood samples in the near future.

week 3

This week I learned that Apple will be focusing on performance rather than new features on the new iOS update. Many people will be pleased with this new update.

Current Event

This week I read about an article that talked about how Apple is going to increase the app size from 2GB to 4GB. They did this so people can have a more user friendly experience and it would be much easier to use. Having an increase in the GB limit helps game makers as well since now they can include many more tings and they will not be limited. This also restricts many IPhone users since they might not have enough GB to download the apps they want.

2/9-2/13/15

This week, I learned that Netflix has expanded their company to Asian countries. Countries like Japan, Korea, China, etc.. are able to have access Netflix like any other countries. The "franchise" will be a good benefit for the company and the people.

This week 02-13-15

Although I spent most of the week in bed, I saw an interesting video featuring President Obama. This video was made by Buzzfeed and was very humorous. I think it is very interesting how the President has taken an active role in the large impact of social media in todays society.

Blog Post For This Week

This week I learned a lot about the technology around me and some releases that we will be seeing in the very near future. One of the articles I wrote on this week for the warm up that stuck out to me was the article that I wrote that was on the new amazon speaker that was releasing. The reason why this article stood out to me was because I am very into music and based off of what I read on this speaker, it seems to be perfect for me. This was cool because it had more than just the feature of being able to listen to music by blue tooth but it also had features in which you could talk to it and it could answer a large range of questions. Overall this week was great and I am looking forward to the weekend.

Valentine's Day Shipping Dates

This Valentines Day, big shipping company's have posted an early warning as to when they are going to ship their ordered items for Valentines Day. Each company is shipping everything out today and very few are allowing pick ups Valentines Day. These companies are starting to set out their list of shipping dates I think to make it easier for themselves to have the customers not pressure them on their shipping.

Menua Ter-Aleksanyan

What I though was interesting this week is an article that I read about. It was about a robot firefighter and I thought it was eye catching because this could be a great advancement in the future. Once this invention improves it could really help the firefighters go into battle. The amount of deaths will decrease and many people won't have to risk their lives. The only problem is that the actual firefighters will  be replaced by the robot firefighters and will lose their jobs.

This week

This week I learned that certain companies are trying to improve their products by looking at their current technologies and trying to improve them and their performance. This also helps us because it teaches us to look at our past mistakes and learn from them mentally and physically.

Keegan Angeles

This week I found an interesting article about Netflix's plan to spread its service around the world. It is very interesting to me, because I did not know Netflix was not available in certain parts of the world. Netflix is planning to launch in Japan by the end of 2015 and its the first Asian country to have the Netflix service. They will start in Japan and continue to move across the Asian continent.

what i did this week

this week in my computer class I read an article about dr dre beats speakers pills xl. what was very interesting about this was that the beats are very good for bumping music do to its amazing bass. but another thing that was a downer about this was the pricing and also that it has to be connect to the wall but another cool feature is you are able to connect two pills at the same time to get the time of your life with amazing bass and volume.

2/13/15

This week I read we worked on typing web and scratch. As a warmup I read an article about a boy who murdered his friend and sent a picture via snapchat. He was caught and now he being charged with first degree murder. It was interesting that snapchat would be the reason for a murderer to be caught.

Daily Blog-Ramon Jimenez

This week I read an article about several hackings that have been going on.  There has been one incident where Anthem was hacked and a survey checking if car makers are prepared for a hacking, which many of them are not prepared.

this week 2-13-15

http://mashable.com/2015/01/26/some-sheriffs-hate-waze/v
Cops want google to disable their police wave tracking feature
police officials aren't too happy with the Google-owned Waze app, which can be used to warn drivers when police are nearby.

At a meeting at a National Sheriffs Association conference earlier this month, sheriffs raised concerns that the app can be used for "stalking" police officers.

Waze, a social traffic app available for iOS, Android and Windows devices, allows users to report on traffic jams, accidents and other commute problems. Users can also report the location of police officers and radar-based speed traps, which are highlighted with a police-officer icon on a map.
what interested me about this app is how easily it can be for a criminal to get away with crime.

Smoking Dating App

I read an article about an app that allows users to date based on their interest in smoking. They are able to have their own profile just like Tinder or the Hot or Not app, except with this app, users add another interest to their profile, their marijuana consumption. If someone likes to go to a relaxed place to smoke, the user adds it to their interest and someone is able to look that up and either agree with the same interest or not agree. I think it's interesting that this app was created and I don't think it's such a smart idea because those who use illegal drugs are being put in a situation to be caught more easily by the police who look for these types of users.

2-6-15 THIS WEEK

this week we completed typing web the beginning lesson. on other new a brown dwarf planet with a ring around seen from a different galaxy. we learned how to save templates on Microsoft word witch will come in handy next time i write an essay. china actually uses and has more internet users than the whole U.S population times 2. thats all we learned this week next week will be another adventure.

Anthem hacking-Ramon J.

This week I read about Anthem's database being hacked.  The hacking involved the stealing of social security numbers, e-mails, addresses, and employee information.  My father works for Anthem Blue Cross which was also a victim of the hacking so the article immediately caught my attention.

Twitter Trolls

This week I read an article about the endless trolls on twitters. Trolls are users that make post to upset users and start fights on social media. Twitter has always had a large number of trolls, but now the users are complaining, and it has became an issue. The problem is that Twitter does not know how to address the issue upsetting many of its active users. I found this a bit funny because I could never imagine trolls having such a large impact on Twitter because I personally always ignored them.
